Standards, Methods and Curriculum

•    Standards

ACTFL-Basedclass
ACTFL (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages) standards and guidelines in teaching foreign languages have been typically used in the design of center’s pedagogy. Aldiwan Center’s APT (Arabic Proficiency Test), which is our placement test, is based on ACTFL standards too.

•    Methods

Audio- Lingual Method
Based on both practical hands-on experience and studies of theories in foreign language learning, Aldiwan Center built its method of teaching on the Audio-Lingual method with a communicative approach, which is based on the behaviorist theory of learning.
